Survival Tips during your stay at Brother's Cove Resort
- Tip 1: Know our times.
- You can holler at us between 9:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
- Tip 2: Know our numbers
- If you need us, dial 428-3962. Now, we don't have a switchboard, so after 8:30 p.m., your kinsfolk are gonna have a mighty hard time finding you. So give them the phone number to your cabin.
- Tip 3: Prepare for the realization that you have no keys.
- Now those keypads are not half as scary as they look. You were given a 4-digit access code at the front desk. If you punch in those 4 numbers, your door will magically unlock. If you need to go to town, just shut the door and hit that lock button. It's right smack dab in the middle. It's really very simple.
- Tip 4: Don't be caught without T.P.
- If you run out of, or need extra supplies, give us a yell between 9:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., and we will fix you right up. Supplies are things like trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish washing liquid or dishwashing tabs.
- Tip 5: Extra set of sheets for the sofa bed.
- Call or come by the office and pick up extra sheets for your sofa bed if you need them.
- Tip 6: Don't get mixed up!
- The dish washing liquid is for the sink only. The dishwashing tabs (under the sink) are for the electric dishwasher only. If you try and switch the two, you're looking at a big ole mess, not to mention extra cleaning charges.
- Tip 7: Respect your surroundings.
- Now we pride ourselves on our cleanliness. So we sure would appreciate your help. Please put your trash out between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. for daily pickup. Please don't leave trash out overnight because our dog, Hank, can sure make a mess. By the way if you see Hank, he's a big ole yellow lab, just send him home, or call the office and we will come get him.
- Tip 8: Relax.

That hot tub is a great place to start relaxing. If you try it and it is too hot or too cold here's a few helpful
hints.
- Too Hot: Remove hot tub cover and turn on the blower. (The blower will produce bubbles from the bottom of the tub) Let that run for about 15 minutes and check the temperature again.
- Too Cold: Leave the cover on and turn on the jets. (The jets will produce bubbles from the side of the hot tub) Let that run for about 15 minutes and check the temperature again.
- Tip 9: Know who to call in case of emergency.
- For medical emergency call 911. For an after hours emergency please call the office number. Now we understand you're on vacation and things like your hot tub or VCR not working are mighty important. However they are NOT emergencies. Emergencies are things like no water, no heat/air, or a tree has fallen on your cabin.
